As a follow-up workshop to our screening of Damon Gameau’s film 2040 – Join the Regeneration, and in collaboration with the ICN project “Innovation Communities”, “2040 – nachhaltige Zukunftsvisionen für Freiburg” about ways to have a positive future together design.

After a thematic introduction, the first part of the workshop considers in small groups what would be important to participants for a climate-friendly and livable city of the future. Together with the workshop leaders Pia Laborgne and Volker Stelzer, participants then identify challenges that exist on the path to this vision, such as solving environmental problems, entrenched mindsets, conflicts and social inequalities, and consider how these might be addressed. Finally, the workshop will focus on concrete measures that participants can take today to make Freiburg more sustainable and to take the others along on this journey.
